I always be thankful to be placed in UNIMAS. Not only can I experience the independent life, seeing lots of ethnics and learning their cultures, I could taste lots of Sarawak's good food. One of the foods you will find very common here is none other than Kolok Mee. At first I thought the mee looks like maggie mee better but they produce it on their own. I once made the record of eating 3 bowls of Kolok Mee berturut-turut.

Taken it with A200 and Sony 11-18. I am so in loved with the UWA lens now. The Kolok mee really tasted nice as what you see :)

After 3 minutes, habis. hahhaahha

This is my blogging friend, Kenny Sia. Wahsei sounds like so close lidat. xD He was rushing to the event as well and glad to take picture with him. He ain't funny one? or is it in blog only? Anyways, I looked so thin here. Hmm..

Heard this great news from the Digi Telecommunication Facebook Fan Page. They are accepting the pre-order right now. Nothing special anyway compared to buying outsides. They should make it Digi special edition besides of selling at low price. All the best to you friend. Buy me one if got extra money k. Friend!

I was told by one of my friends that Malaysia anthem is composed similar to Terang Bulan by Dutch Indo-Rock band Rudy van Dalm & The Royal Rhythmics from Nijmegen. After listening to it, I felt that the music is quite alike but only thing is the tempo is faster. If you do listen, try to imagine the tune is slower, is it sound the same? Anyways, this is just for sharing, no hard feeling ya :)
It was the official launch of The Star Newspaper Sarawak Edition in The Spring Mall, Kuching.

Before we alpha gang met for the Teh Tarik Session, Daron and I caught sight of the launching ceremony carried on. It was an extra benefit for us as we managed to take photos of the events and some other well-known peoples that attended the event. I will show you someone who is very familiar to you too on the next continuous post of The Star Sarawak Edition official launch.

I took these pictures with Sony DT 11-18mm Ultra Wide Angle lens and my usual Sony DT 18-250mm lens.

Similar to The Borneo Post, The Star Sarawak Edition enables me to get it easier. Normally, we have to wait until 12pm just able to buy The Star.
Social Scientist

I really like this badge written with I'm A Social Scientist. I think my senior did a great job in designing this badge. :D Besides the badge are 1 Malaysia and the Unimas punya badge.
Another scandalous news that I believe shook the entertainment world happened on our beloved Jack Neo. Jack Neo is a Singapore renowned director for the Money Not Enough, Where got ghost and many other interesting movies which about the real world.

Not forget to mention, he is one of the directors I like besides of the late Yasmin Ahmad. Both of them did a great job in directing movies. Sadly, Jack Neo is becoming nothing soon. I once heard from an elder man said 3 things you could never touch in life: 1) other women besides your wife, 2) gambling and 3) drinking. I am not sure whether is it true but I am sure 3 of these are addictive especially guys couldn't resist from girls. I mean this is human normal reaction but he shouldn't do that to his wife.

Today, I read the news that Mitsubishi is going to drop the contract with Jack Neo.

I wonder why many role models in my life like Chua Soi Lek(for his political strategy), Tiger Wood(talented in sports) and this Jack Neo(director, indeed one of the best in Asia) involve in scandal?

Should they be forgiven or this has become a social norm?
Yesterday marked the 2 years of the govern of Pakatan Rakyat after they won in the last General Election. Let's see what have been done by the PR leaders. My friend posted it on facebook and I thought of sharing this thing which you can't find in The Star, NST or any other public newspaper for you know why.

Love is in the air

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
I'm really happy of the performance of the Panasonic Lumix LX3. It's really a good walkaround camera. The Auto Macro is really good and sharp, at F2.0 blurring the background and gives a sharp focus on the object. With using it, I could easily get the macro shoot compared to using Raynox. I just find it hard to use the Raynox lahhhh! Hmmmmm....

Sihoulate Unimas Beautiful

In Unimas, I seldom see beautiful sunset but I do see starry sky almost everyday. One day while on the way to CAIS(library), this beautiful scene caught my sight, I then immediately took out my Lumix LX3 to capture this unusual memory. Against the sunset, I managed to snap the BHEP building in silhoulette.

It was so fast, after 3 mins, the sunset gone. Life is such too, beautiful moments do pass very fast, so you and I must cherish it. I always miss my time being at home, I just can't enough being at home seeing all my lovely family members especially my dearest one.

C.h.e.r.i.s.h !
I was browsing through my picture folders, looking back at those pictures I took in the early days after I got my own first DSLR Sony A200, I am so happy to see that the pictures I took today are so much different from what I took back then. Nevertheless, I will non-stop capturing all the beautiful scenes and moments with my humble gear. I managed to find out this picture below which I took with the lens Sigma 28200. Seeing the sharpness and good quality, I really miss the lens now. :'( Nvm, I got Sony SAL 18-250, really far better than the Sigma lens.

Simple
I really can't forgive myself for snapping more than 300 photos which so relevant today. Arming with Sony A200 and Sony18-250 lens, really a good combo for me to go around and take some nice pictures. Today, I took some jalan-jalan in Unimas pictures and for the event Battle of the Bands. It was great! Let's show you the jalan-jalan unrelevant pics first. :)

Due to renovation on previous Seroja College, guys had to 'migrate' to any other college and I was placed at Cempaka College. So far, I have no bad comments bout this College except the bad weather and the super mini fan in my apartment. Most of the time, I feel hot! The best part is there is Wifi service 24 hours, so I can save money applying for BrokeBand larrrr..

This is my study table, quite small but enough for me to put my stuffs. :) Not going to ask for more.

Woahhh! Going back to Melaka will always be best for me. Apart of meeting all my loved ones, having a good rest after doing loads of assignments and busy with studies, I can test various lens bought by my brother. To date, he has his Sony A900, Minolta 28-85, Minolta 50mm F1.7 and the best of all for me is the recent bought Samyang 8mm F3.5 Fish Eye lens.

Samyang lens is quite new in the market, so far I have seen only this fish eye lens and Samyang 85mm F1.4. Despite it's a manual focus lens, it's not difficult to use at all. Show you one picture taken with the moody boy Ryan :)

This lens is very bery very 'poisonous'..
If my memory serves me well, I first knew the song Amazing Grace when I was in 6 years old. No body was telling me how meaningful this song is but somehow I felt so good when listening to this song. It reminds me lots of beautiful things in life, when I am in most difficult moment, Someone would be there for me. This song was composed by John Newton (1725-1807). Despite how long this song was written centuries ago, it is still making hits in people's heart.

Friends, I would like to dedicate this song to you.

I particularly like the part, I was once lost but now I am found. Found in His love! I am loved!

Just listen it and below is the full lyrics of the song Amazing Grace.

On the way going back, the driver who is my friend's dad stopped us at the recreation park to relax. We took our lunch there. I wish to go back again ;)

Somehow I have the urge to start posting more of my personal life recently as I thought within myself, I prefer to blog for memories. So watchup, more personal posts will be posted but it's all up to you whether to read it or not.

Lately, I have met quite numbers of friends who are facing various problems such as family, studies, friends and relationships etc. Yea, I always ready to be their listener and most probably would try my best to pursuade them and to give them a good proper advice. At the same time, I am practising what I have studied in my course, a social scientist need to understand the dynamic human nature so much.

When I look back at my own life, I was the same, my life gone miserable for a certain moment, facing lots of uncertainties in life, not sure of the direction and things I am doing are right or wrong. Part of it are studies and friends which really make me down. When I tried to figure out on my own way, I totally failed until I discover Someone who is very very big big in my life, He is Jesus, my beautiful Savior. I remember there was once I received a sms from my UMS friend saying, " When there is a problem, don't tell God you have a big problem, but instead, tell the problems you have a big God. " He is there and will be always be there for me and peoples surrounding me.
I seldom give any gift to my dear on the particular day, valentine's day but somehow I did for this year. I wanted to present her something different from flowers, dolls, cards, bags or dinners. After searching on the internet, I found that Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s is the most suitable gift for her. It's an instant camera which you snap and the photo will be processed immediately. Guess what, she really like it.

Honestly, I was like other, thought that this type of camera is not useful and the film is extremely expensive. Each shutter you click cost you RM2.40 but the outcome is indeed very satisfying. You'll like it if you see the real photo yourself. I personally like the size and the shape which look really cute.

Fujifilm Mini Instanx 7S

Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s has four settings which are indoor-dark, cloudy, fine and clear. I use indoor most of the time.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s Film

This is the Fujifilm Instax Mini films which costs RM24 per box. As such, I don't simply snap like I do with my other camera. Fujifilm Instax mini photo size is similar to credit card size.

It's a nice camera to play with and I really like it!
