As I have mentioned earlier, this is a month of gadgets. I have bought and tried so many gadgets, very fun indeed! Recently, my gf ordered one Dell Mini 10v and it took 6 working days to arrive at doorstep. She chose this model because it's light and she can bring it everywhere. Most importantly, it's in pink color. Girls like that.
Dell Mini 10v uses Windows 7 Starter Pack, Intel® Atom Processor® N270 (1.6GHz/533Mhz FSB/512K cache) with 1Gb DDR2 Ram. It has 160GB, 2.5inch, 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive and 10.1" Widescreen Display (1024x600)LCD. One thing I like about this little baby is the 6 cells battery which can last very long.
The drawback is it doesn't have CD-ROM that means you need external one to insert CD. Besides that, the computer speed is not fast as I though for DDR2 ram. It hangs sometimes and I felt not comfortable with it. But for travelers, this is a good netbook. You can bring it around without worrying for space to keep this. This is just like A4 paper size.
Mini size doesn't mean the keyboard is mini too. The keyboard 92% the size of a traditional laptop keyboard. So, it's quite easy to type even though there is lack of some keyboard shortcut keys.
This Dell Mini 10v can satisfy low-usage pc users like me. However, I prefer to use my Compaq C700 than this.
PROS:
- Mini size.
- Easy to bring around.
- Basic features such as Wifi, 1.3 Megapixels webcam, IE and etc.
CONS:
- It lacks sometimes.
- Windows 7 starter pack isn't user-friendly.
