Nokia 5800 Review

I've nearly absent-minded that I promised you for this simple review. Here goes a brief review of Nokia 5800 by me. :) So, bear in mind this is based on my opinion and thought about this phone.

Nokia 5800 is the hit model in today's market. My sister bought it at RM1,300 after it's launched for weeks. I would say Nokia has a good strategy in putting the price to boost up the sales. It looks elegant and this phone not only suit for professional, as well as youth like me.

Nokia 5800 1

From the top of the phone : Power, Battery Adapter, 3.5mm Headphone Jack and USB.

I really like 3.5mm headphone jack as I am able to use the other headphone for better quality music. I can connect it to my loud speaker as well.

Having USB is very common and it's one of the points I like. It makes me easier to connect my phone with computer.

Nokia 5800 2

Nokia 5800 has a beautiful Carl Zeiss 3.2 Megapixels Camera. Many of the phone users are pretty disappointed as the megapixels should be 5 instead of 3.2 . Well, pixel is not a big matter. But, I think it can be improved such as the camera should have protector to avoid the camera from any scratch.

Nokia 5800 3

I am glad that the camera functions are better than my last Nokia N80. Basically, you will have the settings for ISO, Colour, Zoom, Picture Quality and Sharpness etc which almost look alike with Samsung i900 Omnia.

However, the picture quality is not as what you would have expected. It doesn't show the Carl Zeiss quality. It's unbeatable with my Sony Ericsson P990i camera.

On top is the photo sample of the camera. I took it indoor.

For your information, I didn't edit anything but the size. So, what do you think of the picture quality? ;)

Disappointed not, there's something called 'Photoshop'.

I used Windows Picture Manager to adjust the Contrast, Brightness and Mid tone.

I really fall in love with Nokia 5800 Music.

Please don't stop the Music! Please don't stop the music!

Nokia 5800 4

Loud yet clear music touches my heart :D

Yea, no doubt it has the best Xpress Music quality so far. I am sure music lover will like its quality too!

Nokia 5800 5

Stylustic? Stylustic not?

Nokia provides 2 original stylus and a plectrum-like stylus for Nokia 5800 user. Personally, I seldom use the stylus but my finger ;p Yes, the screen and the button are big enough to tap.

Nokia 5800 6

And of course, being a canggih phone, it does have Wifi and 3G. You can check your email, Msn, Facebook, GPS and blogging on the go :) Convenient indeed. How could you live without Nokia 5800?

I'm still having problem to log in my MSN though.

According to my sister, the battery life can last up to 2-3 days. The screen color is tip top and there are 2 games.

The best way to know full spec about this phone is to buy it and discover yourself :) I would strongly recommend you this phone.

Hey AhMike, I'm just a passerby and was wondering is it easy for the touch screen to spoil? I thought of trading in my Nokia N73 to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. One thing that bothers me is that there isn't any camera lens protector. Gee, but I'm attracted to the Wifi and touch screen userface and of course the 8gb. Don't mind can you help me ask how much do I have to pay if I wanna trade in? Thanks

The phone of my dreams, I mean people like me who are music lovers would admire it a lot Nokia 5800 has a good audio quality and cool music player which
is arguably the highlight of this device.
It is a trusty reliable phone. I have it for a while now and it is still in really good condition.
