Climate change poses a devastating threat to our future. If global average temperature were to rise 2'C above pre-industrial levels, many ecosystems would be seriously damaged and might go extinct. Human populations around the world could lose their homes and cultures.
People are threatened by drought, changes in rainfall, altered seasons, and more violent storms and floods. This in turn could cause food and water shortages for millions of people. As habitat change, many wild animals and plants could become extinct.
Earth Hour
At 8.30pm on March 28, 2009, cities across the world will turn off their lights for just one hour - Earth Hour - to show it's possible to take action on global warming.
As bloggers, lets turn off our lights for just one hour..and promote www.earthhour.org/malaysia in our blogs.
